Goo Gone has a rather oily base...so the sweater will need to be professionally cleaned if the material cannot be washed.... who would be crazy enough to make a sweater for a baby out of a material that cannot be washed...unreal !!

hahaha that would be funny...if you didn't know the whole thing. It is a Christmas stocking made out of a sweater...I had to get rid of something I tried to glue onto it. I can't wash it because ...well thats hopefully obvious by now. Thanks for your comment! Lol

Why can't you wash it? Everything can be washed on delicate or dry cleaned. You can hand wash it in the sink with Woolite.

  • Why can't the item be washed? Especially baby clothes? A bit puzzled? Take to dry cleaner. But being a baby item I would be hesitant to put on a baby due to chemicals.

I would try washing it by hand in Woolite. Just mix up the (Tepid) water and Woolite and swish around. Rinse well. Lay out on a towel to dry.

For clothing that I sell on Ebay that cannot be washed. Especially clothing with tags. I use a mixture of vodka and about ten drops of essential oils in a spray bottle. Love Gardenia and Lavender. Spray it on, the vodka evaporates and the scent of the essential oil remains. May need a few applications for Goo Gone.

First sprinkle baking soda on the stain to try to absorb the goo gone, then hand wash it with blue dawn dish soap
