Hi there, its not the specific saw that makes the difference when it comes to fine cutting, its the blade. If you purchase a fine wood blade the teeth are very small and closer together.
A table saw is use for straight cuts. For pattern cuts a jig saw would be best.
Hi Maribeth. You would want to use a jig saw for small detailed cuts.
If the owls are a flat piece of wood then a scroll saw would work best and the easiest to use
A scroll saw is operated much like a sewing machine....and can make nice curvy complex cuts. I donated mine away with a downsizing.
