I happened to find a site that discussed cleaning pebble flooring, but I don't see why you cannot use the same techniques if it isn't flooring. Here is the link I mentioned (http://homeguides.sfgate.com/use-clean-pebble-rock-flooring-104334.html).
If you have exposed pebble flooring set in grout, seal the grout and the flooring at least once a year to help the pebbles resist stains and discoloration. Because many of the pebbles in such flooring are porous, they stain easily. Wipe up any spills that can stain the pebble flooring immediately.
Once and Done floor cleaner I purchase at Lowes or Home Depot will do the job for any stones except marble you will find it in the flooring section and this stuff is awesome you have to dilute it just follow directions on the bottle
Cleaning will only help restore the grouting to its original colour.
Was the grouting around the pebbles originally white when it was installed? If not, then it will be very difficult to "get" the grouting white with any quick easy method.
Test an area and try Clorox Spray Gel Bleach. Doesn't seem like it would discolor the Peebles or marble. I used a toothbrush to scrub it and it worked great.
We use the Turbo Hurricane Scrubber we saw advertised online. You can buy them now in Walmart and probably other retail stores. They are great for cleaning everything: the stove, the shower, floors where it is hard to reach like behind commode, car tires, and so much more. They come with several attachments and we just use our regular household cleanser! It takes all the "hard" out of hard work!
keep a spray bottle of vinager and dish soap and a soft brush in the bathroom.
Hey Ruth! There are ways to clean your grout but as another person mentioned above, if the grout was not white to begin with, there really isn't any way to clean them white! But I remembered seeing Sawdust Girl and her sister painting grout white, with an actual grout paint! That may be an option if you can't get it clean! Hope this helps!
