Cher @ Designs By Studio C on Apr 04, 2014I would say WD-40 and a couple of wrenches. Before putting them back together, wrap the male end with a bit of teflon tape. This way, it will be easier to take apart!Helpful Reply

Therese Ryan-Haas on Apr 05, 2014Looks like the plastic is smooth. Wrench will not grip. If soaked on boiling water didn't work sounds like a hammer will have to come into play. Make sure to lube the hose end when you put new sprayer on.Helpful Reply

Joan Vickers on Apr 05, 2014Liquid Wrench. Follow the directions on the spray can to leave it on for awhile before trying to take it off. Sometimes I apply it twice first. Use two wrenches and keep them on the medal part of the hose. Just keep working with it, it will eventually unscrew.Helpful Reply

Liliana Wells on Apr 05, 2014Same thing happened to us. My husband used a product called Pb, available at auto part stores or even Walmart. Apply, let it sit for a while to penetrate and use two pliers to unscrew. Good luckHelpful Reply

Anna Ibarra on Apr 05, 2014Just wanted to say, that I got the hose loosen and unscrew the sprayer wand. yippee! Thank so much. I did the hot water & lubricated it, then I use the wrench to unscrew it. Came right off. Not sure even if I need to use hot water, i'm wandering if just using WD40 would have been enough. I also lube both parts and added the tape before I put wand back on. Again, thank you all, and Hometalk. :-)Helpful Reply

Capernius on Jan 26, 2016Lady Anna, to keep this from happening again, go to an auto supply store & buy a tube of "anti seize". what this does is, it creates a barrier that allows for a good solid connection(meaning it won't leak) yet it also will not let this happen again. If you buy the expensive brand, it will set you back about $5 - $6. cheaper brand = cheaper price but just as good as the expensive brand.Helpful Reply
