Baking soda in the drain in a few minutes put in warm vinager
I've had this happen, and now use a long barbed tool to remove hair from the drain like these: https://smile.amazon.com/Homder-Cleaning-Brushes-Remover-Equipment/dp/B01N6ZG4EX/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1515097480&sr=8-3-spons&keywords=bathroom+hair+remover&psc=1
It helps things flow better down the drain. If it is totally blocked, try that as well as some baking soda and vinegar, with the baking soda added first. It will bubble like crazy. I have had more success with drain cleaner, but, the baking soda and vinegar smell better.

It depends where it is clogged up. If it is just between the sink and the floor : the best way still is to unscrew everything and clean it out (don't forget to make a photo first so you can screw it back in place without mistakes).
If it is under the floor than you can try the chemicals or baking soda/vinegar.
If it happens that you unscrewed everything you can, then you have now a "straight" line to put the water hose in there (or even better : the jet washer with that special accessory to unplug pipes) and flush it out. (be careful if you use the normal outdoor water hose to take off the sprayer because it can stay stuck in the pipes if you poke it up and down to unplug.
Hello. I have put baking soda down the drain and then washed that down with vinegar. It worked for me but if it is a big clog you may need to shut off the water valve under the sink and remove the pea trap and clean that out. Make sure you have a bucket to put under the pipe after removing the pea trap. Good Luck!

I spent 2 weeks with back to back bathroom sinks plugged. As a former rental and NO CLEAN OUT DRAIN, I feared the worst. I had already removed and cleaned out the p-trap by the shut-offs. My handyman got some stuff out, with a snake, but still plugged. FINALLY we used DRANO LIQUID GEL MAX.. let it set for about 1 hr. We used about double of the amount it said I Poured a kettle of boiling water down it, in 5 minutes it was clear..not a do it yourself tip.. I was really surprised and thought no way it would work..So happy it was fixed, Merry Christmas to me that was Dec 23rd..
