What is chiplat? I did find some references to people named Chip Lat.
You may want to lightly sand it, wipe the sanding residue off. I prefer the General Finishes Gel stain. You can paint it on or put it on with a white clean cloth, and top it off with General Finishes Poly.
Hi Colleen, just sand the white wash off and then you can stain it any color you like!
lightly sand,clean,and stain
I go with GrandmasHouseDIY. Just lightly sand, stain and seal.
if you want the job done well and correctly... the prep work is the key. To know exactly how the wood will react... try a sample in a spot that is hidden... that will tell you what will work.. and how much preparation it will take to get the job done.
