Love that kitchen! I think that the garage kits are made for concrete only and may not work with the tiles. Im not sure though. I cant wait to see ths kitchen with new floors
Any type of epoxy based flooring would definitely hold up and would "pour" over anything! They do make specific tile paints but I can't from my own experience remark on how well they hold up.
I agree with GandmasHouseDIY. Epoxy paint would work the best. Concrete paint or kits aren't made for tile. The tile paints kits are fair. They really don't do wel beyond five or so years.
Thanks all. I'm checking out kits made by Rustoleum which are supposed to be stronger than epoxy. From the bit of reading i've done .. as long as you sand back your tiles to remove any shine, then prime you can use concrete and garage floor paints because they're designed for high wear. Only issue that has come up is that some will be come slippery.
Why don't you use luxury vinyl plank flooring? They can be laid over the tiles. Lesslabor intensive and zero down time for the kitchen. Lowes sells a good brand, smart core that is easy to lay, and has lots of pros to it.
Check out the smart core planks, you dont have to do all that. I did a Lot of research on vinyl planks and they won hands down
