Not to be rude but did you check the outlets and/or the breaker. Yes they can be rewired with new wire and sockets.
It is possible you just need to check the outlet??? Try plugging in something you know works. If it doesn't turn on, then it's possible the circuit needs to be reset. Depending on the age of your home, it could be resetting a breaker or resetting a GFCI button on a switch plate.
Or replacing a fuse. When 2 lamps stop at the same time, it is more likely to be something related to the circuit than the lamp itself. One of the simplest solutions might be to check a wall switch before you go further! Sometimes a wall switch is not completely on or off and it appears to be on or off and actually, just needs to be moved!
It be unusual for both to stop working at the exact same time, have you checked to see if you have and power to your wall plug? It could be a breaker or a fuse, also can be a bad plug connectio too. If whoever installed the plug used the holes you push your electrical wires into for their connection. This is actually very dangerous and can start fires being there’s very little metal making contact to your wire and will get very hot and will burn out at some point! I have replaced many plug ins installed this way where the plug is black from being burned to the point it almost started a fire! Never ever connec your wires to those holes in your plug in. Always wrap your wires around the screws on the side of your plug in where there’s the most metal contact to avoid heat build up!
It is possible that the power went out in your bedroom — it may not have been noticeable at first if nothing else electrical is in that room. Reset the breaker. If it is not that, definitely test the outlet. If all else fails, it would be an easy task to install new sockets and wiring. There are Step by step instructions how to do that on YouTube online. Just go to YouTube.com and type “install lamp socket” into the search box and hit enter. You will be taken to a number of videos on how to accomplish the installation of socket and wiring. Good luck!
So strange! You can buy replacement parts at Home Depot, Lowes, or Menard's.
