If you want a permanent fix try some plastic that comes in a role. It is sold at home improvement stores. You can choose from several different patterns. You simple follow the directions and place on the window. We had some that had a stained glass pattern. The light still came in but not noisy neighbors.
Window film might be an option. Check these out!

There is a sticker (for lack of a better word) designed just for this purpose. It can be found at Lowes & Home Depot. It comes in a frosted, pebbled and various stained glass patterns.
I have seen where sheers were put up on the windows using the small rods on the top and bottom to keep them from moving when the door is opened.

buy a roll of window film from Lowe's or similar store, many different designs and kinds, light filtering. opaque, reflecting.https://www.lowes.com/pl/Window-film-Window-film-applicators-Blinds-window-treatments-Home-decor/4294398490?refinement=4294796833
Roman Shades that come from the bottom up work well. Raise them to your privacy level. You get the light, sky, trees, etc. without prying eyes. If you do this, or mini-blinds, or other treatment that has cords, they are a safety hazzard for little kids. BE SURE they are secured.
spray frosting youll still get light but nobody can see in
Darker glass panels placed on the inside, over the existing glass. Or, have stained glass panels made. Or, there is a translucent stick - on, that comes in patterns. It came from Home Depot. I did a friends upper door, covering the clear glass wedges, with the cloud pattern. Or, curtains! With a tight spring-rod at either end. Lots of fabric; gathered tightly.
Have fun! Whatever you choose to do, you'll get some peace of mind by having your privacy.
put up some curtains with lots of gathers.
