I noticed the same thing I used to put Dawn on food grease stains on clothes just a dot with a little water then wash and it would be gone. Before I only had to use a small amount to make a sink or bucket full and it would really bubble it seems to me it doesn't suds up like it used to. I thought it was just me and I live in Texas so it's not your state limiting ingredients they must not be making it as good that's par for the course companies make a product that works well and you don't use as much so you save money because you don't have to by as much so the company doesn't sell as much so there answer is make it crappy now. LOL
I still find it works really well. I also use the foam one most of the time and it seems to be more concentrated since you put it on the sponge and not in the sink. My family has sensitivities to soap and this is almost the only one they can use, even as hand soap. I used to have to send little containers with the kids to school to wash their hands or the teachers would make them use the school soap that caused a lot of problems with their hands, even though they knew they couldn't use it. I hope they aren't changing it!
Do you have hard water or softened water?? Is fluoride in your water system? Saltwater or fresh water? Does the water have bleach introduced into it for bacterial protection?
have found same issue here in Florida with Dawn dish soap, maybe ingredients have changed everywhere?
Sounds like it may be Dawn's solution. I do have hard well water with a water softener but have had that many, many years. I think I found it not to be working as well probably 2-3 years ago. It doesn't degrease as well. I need to use much more of the product to get the same amount of cleaning as I used to. What a shame, but I still think it's the best soap out there. There is a product called The Works that i found at the Dollar Store. They still have it in the store but it doesn't work anything like it used to on hard water scum around faucets, etc. :(
I’m happy to read your piece on Hometalkers about Dawn.... I’m in Ky so it’s not where u are!!! I’ve been noticing a big change... not enough bubbles,,, it’s become a lot thinner and cleaning with it isn’t the same... Dawn is the only kind I use!!!! I’m gona call the company Monday.... Thanx ((now I know I’m not crazy))
seems like everything is getting down sized from baking products to soap.
