If you can't get a replacement part, I'd just put a dab of glue on the chain and glue it to the broken part.
A little dab of hot glue should do the trick. Just don't get any on the chain itself but put a little dab on the blind part & hold the broken ring on it until it hardens. Gently fill the hole up with hot glue but don't fill it over the top edge. It should keep well if you don't jerk on it or pull it very hard. Hope this helps. :)
Thank you
I'm not familiar with these but have just been looking at cord clips and bundles on Amazon.
We have the same type of blinds. I think you can get replacement hooks in a hardware store.
Hi, See if you can find the name of who manufactured them on the vertical blind somewhere, and get an 800 # to call for parts, or if standard vertical blind hardware, call a window covering company for parts. You can also replace individual slats, or change the slat design from a window covering company; just need to be sure the slats will fit inside the headrail hardware, Hope this helps.
hot glue ?
See if you can maybe take clear nylon fishing string and tie it? I use fishing rod string like people use duck tape!
Hi, I sell window covering for a living. This plastic won't hold if glued together. Phone around in your area, find out who sells custom window coverings. Tell them you need "replacement clips" for your verticals with "weights and chains".
If a lot of them are broken, you may as well buy all new chains and clips, BUT, if it is just this one? Remove the clip altogether and either use the fine wire from a stripped twist tie, (twist it through the little hole in the weight, then tie to the chain) or even use a bobby pin to clip the chain to the weight.
Good luck!
I like both the fishing line answer and the bobby pin or wire answer. My thought was t o use an empty milk jug and cut out something as close to the weight section as possible use a good glue to glue it to the actual weight and let it set and dry, then clip the chain to it.
Or you could just remove the chains altogether. Blinds will still work the same, the last few houses I have lived in had ones that didn't have chains on them and that is how they were purchased.
We took the chains of all our blinds as they can be a chocking hazard for children

Hello Khadija,
Buy replacement hooks - contact a bind company!
A custom blind company would have replacement hooks.
