Are you rotating your vegetable plants and not planting them in the same place every year? Do you have a compost pile? Get a soil test done before you add things your soil may not need. You need a balanced pH. Contact your County Agricultural Extension Office for a test kit under $10.00. They are so nice and can help you will all your gardening questions.

First, make sure you fill your boxes with soil made specifically for pots/planters. Then, add liquid fertilizer occasionally when you water, finally, rotate your plants each season with plants that differ from the ones you have planted there now.
