Southern Traditions: Why Did My Grandmas Sweep Their Yards?
My question as I watched these grandparents was always, "Why are you sweeping your yards, and why is there no grass around your house?" We have grass around ours.
Look in your hardware store for 30 Second Cleaner. Yes, that is the name. I used it on our deck, concrete walkway and siding and it works like a charm. No mold all summer and 1/2 way through winter and no sign of mold out there! Woo Hee!
I spray flagstones with straight hydrogen peroxide on a hot day. If the mold is still thick, I spray a cheap bathroom mold eliminator. I usually spray in the spring and in the fall. Keep in mind, it might keep plantlings from starting, but I do not mind. I do keep our pets in until the spray is dry.
Buy vinegar and sray, let sit, scrub lightly with stiff push broom. They sell a stronger grade in Farm n Fleet or Tractor Supply Stores. Peroxide too kills mold on porus material.
We use vinegar. We have them on our front walkway.
If you want a chemical free way, use a 50/50 mix of vinegar with water. Spray it on, let it sit, hose it off.

Use Wet and Forget safe for all surfaces
Thanks all of you for your answers. They will help me a lot to eradicate it. I was afraid to ruin them with the wrong product and also affect my Yorkie dog.
