I have a pine tree with big dead area under it will anything grow in this area
Only conifer I've ever consumed is spruce buds for Vitamin C made into a tea as a survival food. And Pinon pine nuts which are a favorite of mine, and if you've ever had real pesto.... thats the nut they use. Expensive as all get out too. I've also consumed my fair share of spruce grouse that taste like a pine tree. http://www.skilledsurvival.com/eating-pine-how-to-eat-a-pine-tree/ so if you plan on eating it for some reason.... I would pick a spruce tree or a pinon pine.
