You will need a structural engineer to determine why your walls are cracking. There is no way to tell without seeing the wall and supporting structure.
How to repair is determined by what the walls are made of. Whether a repair lasts is determined by why they cracked in the first place.
Drying out - Polyfilla - sand and decorate. or subsidence?
Can be foundation problem! Pray it isn't. We had really bad issue and had to have major reconstruction but....very likely not that issue for you. Good luck!
Stress cracks on wall is usually cause your house is settling, lay a level on your floor both directions can give you a idea how bad it’s settled? You may need to have jacks put under your house to bring the house back up to level. Depending how your home is built, has a crawl space or basement? Hopefully the ground has stopped sinking by now? I’ve seen extreme situations where people were forced out of their homes and homes had to be torn down cause the ground became too unstable and wasn’t safe to be in any more! Those are ones I don’t wish on anyone, well except maybe my worse enemies! LOL You may need a contractor to look at your foundation to see what’s really going on, look for cracks in your foundation too? Best of luck!
