It may need to be resealed
I give mine a good soap and water cleaning and let it completely dry. Then I use granite polish on it and give it a good buffing with a soft cloth. You can get granite polish at the grocery store or at a store that sells granite.
A good commercial granite cleaner is probably your best bet.
