want to install a French drain because of the cost involved. What other materials such as rocks or gravel can you recommend? Please include instructions and pictures if possible. Thank you Liz

Have you thought of making a swale to redirect the water flow? Lots of U-tube directions and videos.

Hello Liz. I can sympathesize. Had the same problem with our front parkway. We resolved it by elevating that area. We cut out that section of grass, added dirt, and placed new sod down. It has held up nicely. Here are a number of options how you might address the problem. One of them could be better suited to your situation. Good luck!

I have the same problem! And I cannot redirect the flow to the drive way because our driveway is lower than the yard and cannot redirect towards the top of the yard as it goes uphill! I was told French drain was the only way!
