Try using go gone
some glues react to nail polish remover, some to heat and scraping with one of those razor-blade scraper widgets.
I have been able to chip excess off with an exacto knife on curved pottery.
Use lead, similar to craft used with glass. It comes in tubes, similar to caulk, and you can create the width to fill your gap/crack.
