Better to Use the colour of you bath to add Towels and Toilet Seat and Face cloths et. Soap and Rug, then try and possibly fail to do a great job! or just change the tub.
Rustoleum makes an epoxy (very stinky) paint for just such projects. You might have to sand it first to rough it up and tape off around the area. Make sure it is well ventilated.
Plastic turns yellow and there's no going back that I know of. Time for a new tub!
Rustoleum makes a great product for this. Available at Home Depot or Amazon. Pretty easy for anyone to use. I would suggest the canned product due to easier ventilation issues.
