im going to remove 3 shelves add lighting & a mirror , i can put a stool to sit on. would a lighted mirror or a mirror with lights around be better for applying make-up?

The second lighting might give you a glare on the mirror. I'd stick to just one :)

It might be cheaper to buy a lighted mirror at Walmart than to buy a mirror and wiring for separate lighting. The lights might be adjustable, also. Cool idea! Please photo and post on Hometalk. ☺️
Just saying a cubby hole in a bedroom of child. My daughter in love is doing a reading nook for my grandson. In the bathroom if not needing what u r doing extra closet or storage.
Since it is a cubby hole I think lights all around the mirror would be better for visibility. Sounds like a very cute space.
