Put out some Vick's Vapor Rub. They won't come near that stuff.
Buy these , mix it all together and spray outside.
Cheap blue mouthwash
Espom salt
Mix, let the salt dissolve and spray, keeps them away for a month at a time.
if you drink coffee, after you’ve brewed and enjoyed it, put the coffe grounds in a bowl, dry them and light them with a match. Flies and mosquitoes hate it.
AVON Skin So Soft is another great mosquito relief. Set ot shallow dishes of it. Smells fairly nice too.
Marigolds planted in the ground or in pots around your outdoor living area works well too.
Kill them when young or deprive them of thier breading grounds, Those little blood suckers are born in stagnet and still water..after a rain...empty all containers that are holding water. If you have an open barrel to collect rain water, cover it with screening. There is a treatment called mosquito dunks for rain barrels, and mosquito bits that are granular for wet spots in the yard, prevention is key. The granuals haven’t. Bothered my garden at all, and I no longer have welts the size of a drinking cup.
Put bird and bat houses around your yard. Not only will they add pretty decor but the birds and bats will eat those pests like you won't believe.
Bay leaves will keep pretty much all insects away.
