Vinegar
I use a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid in the toilet. Then I pour in some vinegar. Swish around with a toilet brush to foam it up. Let it sit for about an hour or two. Then scrub a little with the toilet brush. The suds suspend the vinegar above the water line.
go to home depot or lowe's and get the toilet pumice stick. Plunge most of water out of toilet with plunger Then wet stick, It is the fastest easiest way. Once you do that the vinegar in TANK say once weekly should keep it from accumulating
Have you tried one of those magic sponges? If the ring isn't too set they seem to do the trick.
CLR. Don't keep fighting it. It's only a couple of dollars and it's the only thing.
Pumice stone. No question about it. wear disposable plastic gloves and scrub the ring. It can make a weird noise, but it won’t scratch up the toilet bowel.
There is a cleaner called "The Works toilet bowl cleaner" and it really does the job. Purchased at dollar store and I would think Lowe's or Wal Mart would have it.
I dump in a can of coke cola and let it stand about hour. It works.
Yeah, cola does work! Just imagine what it does to your stomach though if it does that good of a job in the toilet. :)
Waste of a good cola.
