Maria Hello, That is dependant on a few things sun, most plants love the sun so between 10.00am and 2:00 o'clock is a good rule of thumb, if there is something blocking the garden then all you can do is place it in a spot that has the most area where the sunshine's almost all day.

Buy a good used garden book and or join a Garden group where you are sure to get all the information and help you need, as there are so many factors that need to be taken in to consideration. Or employ a gardener to get you started buy setting it up for you,
I have used railroad ties in the past. They worked very well, but they are heavy so you will need help moving them and placing them.
