Call the people that you purchased the carpet from and they can come out and plug it....you will never know it was repaired.
Hi! Modge Podge is water soluble. Gently scrape off as much as possible and throw away. Soak the area with warm water and wait until the Modge Podge starts to soften. Start blotting it up and then repeat until gone.
Try very hot, clear water. Spray it on the area, let sit a minute or so & take a absorbent towel and pat vigorously. Do this several times until you've removed the ModPodge. It make take several repeats before you see that it is all removed. Finally, you could use a steam carpet cleaner, but maybe try to get most of it out before using the steamer.
Midge lodge may be removed if you lay wet cloths or paper towels (warm preferably) over spot until it softens. Scrub up using soft brush to lift the residue.
