yes, I got the same instructions...it may be grafted to a different root stock. One that could go native in an open environment.
my husband has bought me miniature rose bushes for mothers day for many years. They have all flourished very well planted outside. Be sure to keep up on watering, feuding and protecting and they'll do just fine.
I have planted miniature roses very successfully and they return each year....even after a harsh canadian winter!
