I can’t tell if this is a wall, countertop, or what. Since the scratches are not deep, it looks to me as if a coat of paint is all that is needed. If the material allows, do a light sanding first. ☺️
Your title was cut off at the end, I'm guessing it's because you exceeded the character limit.
What is this material that has scratches?
Ask them at Lowe's where you order counter tops. They should definitely help you!
Perhaps you can contact the manufacturers of Formica or Laminex in Australia, and see if they have a coating or polishing product for this.
I think if you just rubbed it with some vegetable or olive oil, or a soft cream, you can buff those scratches out. We have some kind of Formica with a different name. I watch for chips, scratches and separation by the trim. The best thing I do for the counter is buff it. That removes dishcloth streaks, oily areas, and other bits we might have missed in cleaning. ☺️
I used car wax on my shiny Formica counter-tops in my first house, they showed every little scratch....the was made the less noticeable.
You might also try some car wax. A paste wax that you let dry and buff.
The method would depend on what material the scratch is in?
