    Fine grade steel wool. Oil to lube the surface.

    Salt and bottled lemon juice work well. Just make a liquidy paste and rub on. Some people say soaking in cola works too.

    Putting chalk in the tool box help prevent rust from recurring. Apparently stpring them in sand does too (it must keep them dry)...probably better for gardening tools...

    Use WD40 and a lambs wool scrubber.

    Pour some vinegar in a jar and throw your tools in there. Leave in for a day or two, it eats the rust right off.

    CLR is a good rust remover for tools. When storing and before putting away for the season, spray with WD40 to prevent the rusting.

    You can use a dremel and remove the rust.
