I would use E 6000 glue. I have found that it works with all kinds of material. It does take a little bit of time to dry, so you may want to tape it in place till dry.

If the back of the trim is flush you can get some two-sided tape. I find the stuff you get in the window kits to work great, its really thin, narrow and strong. I really like E6000 glue, except for the drying time on non-porous items, but it might be difficult to remove if you decide you don't like it
You could glue the wood trim directly to the mirror or tack up the trim so it it just outside the mirror.
Any silicon based glue should work!
