The best way is to clean as best you can and then use ozone. Ozone actually destroys the smoke molecularly. You can rent an ozone machine. Close up your home, remove all people and pets, turn it on high for a couple of hours. Usually they have a timer. Let it closed up for a few more hours then open house and air out thoroughly. Smoke will be gone.
Wash everything, including the walls, no way around it. For the closets, wipe out with cloth dipped in vinegar. Then place lump charcoal in the closets till the odor is gone or you repaint. Don't forget to get the carpets cleaned too. Here are a couple helpful links.

I would remove everything and scrub down the room with white vinegar and water. Let dry and add absorbing charcoal in containers around the room.
The smoke is laying all over so everything will have to be washed. Use whatever you use for your every day cleaning change the water frequently.
This usually works:
For Hard Surfaces (walls, doors, countertops, closets, etc.) - wipe the walls down with vinegar and water mix (1:1) and let dry. On floors/carpets, spread baking soda on them and let sit. Vacuum/sweep up.
For fabrics - wash in washing machine with 2 cups of white vinegar added to the load. Then air dry.
OPEN ALL WINDOWS while cleaning to let fresh air in.
