Have you tried shampoo?
Use fabric softener: In a spray bottle combine 1 part fabric softener and 2 parts warm water. Lightly mist the walls then wipe from bottom to top with a damp microfiber cloth. Follow with a clean, wet cloth toremove the fabric softener residue, too.

If the walls are painted semi gloss, wash the area with dish soap and a sponge, then paint only the spot, it should blend in.
Did you try rubbing alcohol? Sudsy ammonia? 20 mule team Borax?
Since hair shampoo does a good job of removing hair spray it should work on walls without any damage.
Baking soda and water. Make a thin mixture, sponge it on and wipe off with a clean sponge in a minute.
Apple cider vinegar works for me.
Shampoo removed the hairspray from the walls in my bathroom.
