try peanut butter first, its the more gentle way it has an oil in it to negate the sticky film. if you have the crunchy type with the peanut chunks they can act as an abrasive to remove the print part of the sticker.
I have found one of the easiest things to help remove stickers is lighter fluid. It seems to dissolve the adhesives quite easily. I’m not sure its safe for all surfaces but Ive used it on soft cover books without any damage. The little dispensing nozzle is great for applying very little solution, the minimum required to do the job.
I use Goo Gone or Goof Off for removing stickers.
Coconut oil & EVO work best at removing stickers.
