Use an acetic bowl cleaner found at home deopt.
Pour full strength vinegar in the tank and let it soak for 30 mins. Then flush. I use it in mine.
I use vinegar and a toothbrush .does a good job .
pout two cups of white vinegar in the tank and leave in overnight
After flushing, hold the lever up so tank doesn't refill. Then clean it. If you don[t have someone to hold it for you. try some wiring or ??? to hold it up.
What about vinegar and baking soda - it will foam. Let sit overnight and then turn off water so it doesn't refill & flush. You can use a brush or old rag to clean residue before turning water back on.
