Do you mean keeping the water from coming out on the floor or the actual opening. Walk-in showers are made with no barrier to accommodate wheel chairs. If the problem is higher up, a shower curtain should help, but if it's on the floor, you'll need to have some type of barrier. Click the link below to read about some ideas. Wishing you the best!

You could use a cllapsible water retainer shower dam for the shower threshold and splash guards on the sides.
