That depends on what you want to achieve. Obviously, if items need repairing, do that first. Changing paint color on walls & trim can make a dramatic difference. Other things that can help update. Towel racks, vanity hardware, adding a shelf, window treatments, new moldings, etc. If tiles need removing and replacing, you'll get more involved work and more money. Just a few things to think about.
What exactly do you want to do? A coat of paint, new hardware and accessories can do wonders.
A budget friendly way to give the room a new look is to repaint the cabinets. There are lots of great tutorials you'll find on Hometalk!
Do you have a Habitat for Humanity Restore Store in your community ? If so check them out. They get a lot of donated vanities, sinks, partial boxes of tile etc. These might just fit your need.
