Depends on where you will be using it.
I like the color right now, but painting it white will definitely brighten it up
There is a spray paint that I used a long time ago and purchased at Home Depot that painted a wicker resin/plastic table. Did a great job. Been so long I don't recall the name of it BUT I am sure Home Depot could advise, so the answer is YES, you can! Just use the proper paint - otherwise I would imagine it might flake off.
Beautiful now. Paint gets worn off.
Is this actually Wicker, or a plastic? IF it is Wicker I would not paint it until I had someone with knowledge look at it, as it could be considered a collectable piece with value. If it is an you paint it, that would kill the value.
I've never seen a chair as ornate as this one, that was made using the new age plastic wrap material.
Ps. my mom painted a small Wicker shelf, and it dried it out and it fell apart over time. So be sure to use the right paint based on where, what and how you will use it.
Ivory is softer and neutral. You can add a thin cushion with material that compliments your color scheme. Pretty chair.
AuntQueenie is right!!! Don't do anything to this chair if it is an antique until you check with someone who deals in antiques.
Once you paint, you cannot go back.
Paint it...it's only valuable to YOU...you're not gonna retire on an old wicker chair. Pick a gorgeous color...or classy white or cream....and put a cool colored cushion on it..and ENJOY !!!
If its in great condition, find a room where it “fits” with your color schemes. If it’s not in very good condition, paint it so that it is either a focal point or matches with your decor colors to blend in. White may not be the color you’re looking for—I can see it being a blue that pops against other colors! Or it could be an old looking cream color—with some “distress” to look antique. Good luck!!
