Hi Shirley,
Have you considered hanging a curtain on the shelves? A curtain that coordinates with your living room should hide the things on the shelves. If you made your pillows on the sofa, one of those fabrics might be right for a curtain.
For a door for the craft room, perhaps a pair of bifold doors would be reasonably priced, especially if you made or bought unfinished doors and finished the same as other doors in the living room.

You can make your own barn door but if you do it will not slide wide open because you do not have enough width on either side for it to do so. Buy the top rail to fit over the door frame and enough extra for the door to slide over, brackets to fit into the rail. end blocks for the rail so the door does not slide off. Purchase one half inch thick ply wood, cut to fit. What you cut off the bottom of the sheet you can add to the top of the sheet to make it thick enough to fit into the top brackets. Either varnish or paint the door. Hang up and then buy a small slider with wheels for the outside corner of the door which is installed near the floor.
You can get by fold doors & hang like barn doors. Look for used doors at thrift stores & yard sales. I bought a set of by fold at thrift store still in wrap. I use hing instead of top pc for the doors. Good luck
How about a room divider? They can often be found in thrift stores/IKEA/ or DIY frame & cover with an attractive fabric.
How about shoji screen doors for the opening, I redid mine using translucent fiberglass paper from Tap Plastics on some old shoji frames, I simply used white glue on the back of the wood screen and then put canned food to hold it down til it dried and then stapled in 3 across for good measure..... here is how to make the frames.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJnh4ldKXpY&t=42s
If you have a habitat for humanity restore in your area . They always have used doors. piping etc. for sale
My self, I would treat it like it was a window. You could put vertical blinds on it, like it was a sliding glass door. You could find nice sheets and hang it with folds and all on the rod (a tension rod should work), use enough top sheets so that it hangs like curtains and you have them come apart in the middle to get in and out. It would look like you have a large window that you covered.
You're welcome Shirley, I hope you find the perfect solution for your craft room! I'm jealous of your room, I have a closet crammed full of my fabrics, yarn and miscellaneous stash. Good luck!
Ikea sells great “panel” curtains. They function pretty much like your barn door. Come in assorted fabrics, and the necessary hardware is listed at the bottom of the page. Google “IKEA sliding panel curtains” and you’ll see your choices. Prices are quite fair for a Very slick look.
Id copy and paste you the site, but I don’t know how.
Do you have a Habitat for Humanity Restore where you live? You could get a set of used doors maybe? They sell them very inexpensively.
I might use a foldable shoshi screen type item. The middles can be covered with fabric that would compliment your living area
