You can replace the gasket. Home improvement or hardware stores will have everything you need.
Just go to the store with the model number and make of the refrigerator and you should be able to find out what you need, they should also be able to tell you how to replace it.
Time to replace it as it will cause the compressor to run non-stop and wear out faster. Its not so hard, there are videos on YouTube for the various brands of frigs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuSTFHcT04w
Thank you all for your answers. I was hoping to not have to go to the extreme of replacing the gasket. I thought maybe there was a silicone or something I could use on such a small opening. The refrigerator is only 4 yrs old in a snow birds home. Yes, the warranty has expired.
