tomato juice
I’d use a product like natures mirical, or cleanaway. The tomato juice might be a bit difficult to get out of a carpet.
Check to see if vinegar changes the color of the carpet in an inconspicuous are. If it doesn't, spray the area really well so that it soaks into the fibers and the backing. Let it dry, you won't smell the vinegar anymore, and see if it got rid of all the odor. If it didn't, spray again, it could have gotten into the padding or the area of the urine was larger than expected. I have done this with stinky cat urine many times and it worked, but does sometimes take two tries to get it all.
I have used Shout for the stain but the smell can be difficult. I have used several products on the market but none work well or how I prefer. Odoban or white vinegar keeps the pet away from the area the best.
I have 2 dogs and know the feeling. There's a product called Natures Miracle that works wonders. They sell it in Petsmart, Petco and other pet stores. It cleans rugs, fabric couches, tile, etc. I tried it on Hardwood but it left a cloudy mess, which was more work for me.
Thank you!!
My go to for pet odors is Odoban. You can use the original or they have one for pet odors. Odoban is a janitorial strength product that also kills germs.
