vineagar and water
I use vinegar, veg oil and a little water.
If need be, the knobs usually come off fairly easily and then you can clean around that area really well and just put them back on. While you have them off, clean and dry the knobs, too.
Oldie but goody—make a paste of baking soda and vinegar. Scrub until the grime is gone. If you have white cabinets, you might want to use hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, but white vinegar is really fine. Use baking soda and vinegar on most handles and hinges, except brass. The brass coating may come off with any scrubbing, so be careful with those. Rinse with warm water and wipe the cabinets down with a soft cloth or paper towels. Best wishes ☺️
