Squirrels: use blood meal sprinkled around the plants and put into the hole when planting bulbs. Deer: mix this concoction: 1 egg, 1 Tablsp. dish liquid, 1/2 cup milk, remainder water in a gallon jug. Spray on after each rain and will not hurt your plants.
Spray bottle with water, vinegar and hot sauce. Spray on the leaves and the animals will leave them alone! We use it on our tomatoes, carrots, peas and green beans...lots of rabbits in our neighborhood.
