We cut down 2 trees in our backyard when we built a large garage. Didn't expect to end our ant problem in the process.
Terro Liquid Ant baits are the ONLY thing that actually worked for me and I've never had an ant problem again! You can buy them just about anywhere.
spray vinegar along their path, they don’t like the smell. ( don’t use on stone counters) repeat process often. Bay leaves in your cabinets or on counters and they don’t like mint as well. Sprinkle Pepper along their path as well.
I also used Terro. Put it down once and never saw ants again.
1st of all, use vinegar to clean with. Ant bait: wet- mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup warm water, 3 Tbsp borax. Put in empty bottle caps where you see ants. They will gather & take it back to the nest where it will kill them...dry- 3 parts powdered sugar+ 1 part borax. While you have an ant parade going back out, try to follow them & find out where they are coming in & fix the entry with appropriate sealer.
Removing their desired food or water supply is helpful. Ensure any piping leaks are fixed. Also, ensure stuff in pantry is well sealed. I had a job in southern Florida and saw a line of ants making a trail up the wall, across the ceiling, and into a cupboard. They were after food up there so I got some plastic containers to seal the target. Also, ensure the house openings are sealed.
Hello,
Set a Jam jar with a spoonful of Jam, in the bottom this will attract them, then you can kill them.
