Are you on a septic system? My toilet was doing the same thing and during the septic inspection (we have sold our home) found the pipe leading between filter and septic was bowed and there was standing water it it, which bogged down our flush.
You may also have a clogged vent. There are more things that could be at issue and this is a problem best evaluated by a professional plumber who can check out all of the possibilities.
I have not tried this, but was told by a reliable person and I am going to try this myself. Use 2/3 of a bottle of cheap shampoo OR dish soap. They recommended cheap bottle of shampoo and dump it in the toilet bowl. Let it set 10 minutes then add a bucket of HOT water and pour it in the toilet. Let it set about 3 minutes and flush. That should do it for a good 6 months or more. Hope it works for both you and me!
Check the flush mechanism inside the tank. It may need to be replaced. especially if it has a ball flush.
Check to make sure the water level is correct in the tank. Should be about an inch below the overflow tube. Also make sure the flapper isn't closing too soon. Should only have about two to three chain links loose when it's down.
You may not have enough water in your tank. The water height generally determines how well the toilet will flush. Hold the handle down a little longer if you are having trouble.
I have also same issue. I guess it because of clogged.
