You really want to keep those areas clear so that if you have to access the septic system you can. It's never a good idea to have anything over your septic system except grass. You could buy fake rocks and put them over the covers and add a few removable plants in pots. Or a wishing well. I would not plant shrubs or trees in this area.

Have you thought to Surround with Trellis and Grow Honeysuckle up it. You can leave an access point or fit a gate...........
As a landscape designer, I suggest getting lattice boards then planting vines around it. I would also suggest leaving an opening or gate.
About the only thing you can do is build some sort of pretty cover... a fencing of some kind that can be pcked up and moved when necessary...much like people build for garbage cans. Then put some pots of flowers or miniature trees which can be easily moved.
