Scrub the brick again with the scrub brush to remove the paint. Repeat this process until all of the paint is removed from the brick. If there are still paint stains on the brick, moisten a rag with paint remover and soak thepaint spots with it. Then use a back-and-forth motion with a scrub brush toremove the stains.

This will probably be one of the hardest, most frustrating things you will ever do. Brick is not smooth and paint is hard to get out of all the little nooks and crannies. Good luck!
You can probably get a lot of it off with a pressure washer. There's also sand blasting.
Considering the poricity of the brick, Pressure Washing on the Highest setting will be your least TOXIC option. I hope you aren't looking at doing a large area as this is a back breaking task.
Best of luck
I definitely recommend power washing. If you don't have a power washer you can borrow one from a neighbor or rent one. Good luck!
