North sea... how's the weather? I ask, because the easiest (but possibly slowest) solution that comes to mind is a lightweight trellis with wisteria or hops or (probably not where you are) grapes climbing it and screening off the Pitches. Of course, in winter you'd see through, as the leaves fall off.
Thanks for your input, but sadly the weather is the problem, 85 mile an hour winds caused the damage. Fixed last year - but over again this year. I just love trellis with climbers and have them elsewhere, but in this location they would be torn to bits in knowtime. I'd love trees, but for the trees to be any good they would have to be on trunks of 12' before foliage on the Schools land. I can't see the school being in a position to provide and plant them even if we made a contribution. We would probably have passed on before the grew enough to serve the purpose.......Ah well!
Thanks for a No is better than a missed yes! (I will remember that) I'm always suggesting people talk to their neighbours etc....Dah
