Turtle Wax's Bug and Tar Remover
My husband taught me to use butter to get pitch out of hair (we had adventurous boys and did a lot of camping so I had to remove pitch on more than one occasion). I think it would work on your car. I have also just used something soft to scrape away pitch on my car and then washed the remainder off. I sat on a stump and got some pitch on my pants once and read that hand sanitizer would remove it (it's the alcohol that dissolves the pitch). I tried it and it worked - pitch was gone after I washed the pants. Hopefully, one of these might work.
WD-40 removes sap and all kinds of sticky things on your car including tar without damaging the finish.
Goo Gone or WD40.
hubs used gasoline ...worked just fine!
The gasoline may strip any wax you have on your car, so be prepared to rewax the area. I have used mayonnaise in the past with no problem.
A pine cleaner would work too!
Thanks!
Use an oil like baby oil or vegetable oil. Pour it onto a soft t-shirt and rub in circles.
