Hi Cheryl,
I live in PA and we have the same problem!! grrrr, little buggers! I searched high and low for things to work and couldn't. Then I was talking to my sister about it, who lives right here in my town and she told me this recipe. Take equal parts of Joy lemon dish soap and ammonia. Put them in one of those Miracle grow sprayers and spray absolutely everything in your yard! This will NOT hurt bushes, flowers, vegetable plants. AND IT WORKS! The only thing you'll have to remember is to spray again after it rains as it gets washed away. Hope this helps you as it did me!
plant some citronella plants in some pots on deck. You could use citronella candles when on deck and also wear some of those bug detergent bracelets.
Hi Cheryl, plant rosemary, basil, lavender, peppermint, garlic, citronella plant, lemon balm, catnip, marigolds, geraniums and Pennyroyal in planters or around your deck for natural mosquito repellent.
Bring in planters of Mint, or a couple of citrus type plants. Mosquitoes hate the smell and stay off of my porch
Thank you this is amazing....Marigolds for example...I will put them in planters all around my deck...wow
