not a recommended process, some will tell you yea, down the road you will have peeling wall paper.best to remove it
DO NOT DO THIS! Eventually it will all have to come off. I have had to take off such a mess, and it is really difficult. Better to take it off now. Some people will not even buy a house if it has painted wallpaper due to the mess involved.
I agree! Best to remove it. It can bubble and peel from the moisture in the paint. Also would be hard ro remove in the future. If you must paint. Make sure it's clean and dry. Prime with a good stain blocking primer like Kilz or BIN. then paint like painting regular walls.
