I wrapped a garbage can for outside. To start I used a paint brush and smeared contractor's glue on the can. Then I started by first row. (I used a clothes pin to clip the first row). You can use a piece of thin wire to tightly secure the row. Then around and around. At the fourth row, I used wire to attach the 4th row to the third row in 3 places around the can. Then did 3 rows and attached in 3 places two rows together and so forth until the last row and used wire to tightly secure the row. Then I used more contractor's glue and went over the rope making sure to get between each row and pushing the rows tightly together. When dry, removed the wires. Good luck.
