Lestoil, full strength on the spot works on grease spots.
I've used Shout successfully on grease. You may have to do more than one application. The last resort fix would be treatment with Lestoil. I keep some in a squeeze bottle for the tough stains. You can see if it's safe for your shirt fabric by applying a bit to an out of sight area and wash. If no damage is detected try it on your stain. I'll not be responsible for any results you may have...
Lestoil is a miracle degreaser
will get even old stains out. Pretreat on spot let set a minute, rub in and put in washer on warm is fine.
You can also treat stain with Dawn dishwashing liquid. I use this on husbands work clothes. Pretreatment ,let stand for awhile then wash as usual. Works for me.
Use blue Dawn dishwashing on spot prior to washing.
I keep a bottle of "Dawn" dish washing soap by my washer, it works well on grease spots, just rub a little on the spot, let it set for maybe 15 minutes before washing as normal.
Any dishwashing liquid soap works well on both grease and oil stains. Not only on fabric butt on all different types of materials including your hands. Also there is a bar soap called Fels-Naptha. That I found works well on stains that have been put through the dryer. Sometimes a toothbrush is necessary if it's been put through the dryer.
